Canalha

A year after its opening, there are likely few who haven’t heard of Canalha, the restaurant by João Rodrigues—the chef who held a Michelin star at Feitoria for years and now embraces a more relaxed approach to cooking, while still focusing on quality ingredients. At the entrance, there’s a display of meat, fish, and seafood to be prepared to your liking. The lunch menu features daily specials, and the well-rounded à la carte menu is designed for sharing.

Belcanto

In Portugal, José Avillez is the leading figure in gastronomy. The chef has built a restaurant empire, from the most casual to the most exacting, but it’s at Belcanto—holder of two Michelin stars and ranked 42nd on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants—that Avillez shows why he is one of the best chefs in the world. Today, there is a single tasting menu, always evolving yet never losing sight of the restaurant’s history.

Arkhe

Arkhe was one of the first restaurants in Lisbon to prove that fine dining can shine without serving meat or fish. Aiming for a Michelin star—which it earned in 2025—chef João Ricardo Alves in the kitchen and Alejandro Chávarro out front deliver exemplary service. There’s a single tasting menu, with dishes that change with the seasons.
