A Barca Tranquitanas
It’s one of the most well-known restaurants in the area, and for good reason. For 50 years, these tables have been a safe haven for great feasts. The fish and seafood mostly come from Porto das Barcas, right nearby. It has a terrace with a sea view and a good wine list.

Miramar
Don’t confuse it with the Miramar on the main street of the small village of Zambujeira do Mar. This Miramar is in Brejão, on the way to Praia da Amália, and is a small Alentejan tavern where you can eat very fresh fish, brought in by local fishermen. For meat, there are mixed grills and steaks.

The location could be everything, but then there’s also the atmosphere and the food. This Choupana looks like a beachside cabin. It specializes in grilled dishes, especially fresh fish. It’s great for lunch, but at the end of the day, if you’re lucky, you’ll catch the sunset.
