Eleven
At the top of Parque Eduardo VII, Eleven opened in 2004 under Joachim Koerper, when Lisbon was still far from today’s buzzing food scene. It earned a Michelin star just months after opening—the city’s first at the time—lost it and later regained it, keeping it to this day. Between tasting menus and à la carte options, the experience reaches another level at the window tables (the view over Lisbon is lovely).
Mon–Sat 12:30–3:00 PM / 7:30–10:00 PM.

Rossio Gastrobar
The views over Rossio and the Tagus win you over immediately, at any hour. The rooftop is perfect for a cocktail by Flavi Andrade—one of the best in the art of mixology, with daring creations. In the kitchen, João Correia sets the tone with an equally irreverent menu that’s packed with flavor.
Wed–Sun 12:30 PM–12:00 AM.

BAHR & Terrace
At the top of Bairro Alto Hotel, with views of the Tagus and a terrace perfect for cocktails, BAHR enters a new cycle under chef Fábio Pereira, from the Ritz Four Seasons. The mission is to continue the path set by chefs Nuno Mendes and Bruno Rocha, balancing tradition and modernity with a sharp eye for product. At lunch there’s an executive menu of Portuguese classics, while dinner brings a more technical, inventive approach. On weekends, the focus shifts to an à la carte brunch.
Mon–Fri 12:30–4:00 PM / 7:00 PM–12:00 AM; Sat–Sun 1:00–4:00 PM.

Lumi Rooftop
At the top of The Lumiares Hotel & Spa, yet open to the city from the outset. Lumi Rooftop aims to serve Lisbon and its locals. The atmosphere is calm, and the striking city view sets the scene. In the kitchen, traditional recipes are reinterpreted. The cocktail list is worth a look.
Mon–Fri 12:00 PM–12:00 AM; Sat–Sun 11:30 AM–2:30 PM / 3:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Seen by Olivier
The view is unbeatable and the vibe festive, as Olivier da Costa knows so well how to craft. On the top floor of the Tivoli Avenida, Seen is the right choice for those who enjoy lively, well‑watered dinners. There’s a well‑composed cocktail list, and to eat, sushi is part of the draw, but there’s much more (tacos, salads, carpaccios, pastas, fish and meat dishes). At the panoramic Sky Bar, lunch is also available.
Sun–Thu 6:30 PM–1:00 AM; Fri–Sat 6:30 PM–2:00 AM.

Mona Verde
At the top of the Embassy of Denmark building, between Avenida da Liberdade and Príncipe Real, sits one of the rooftops of the moment. It’s not only beautiful and lively, it also offers an incredible view over the city—and you eat very well. In the kitchen is chef Inga Martin, from the much‑missed Go A Lisboa. On some nights there’s live music and room to dance.
Mon–Sun 6:00 PM–2:00 AM.

Sud Lisboa Terrazza
There are restaurants where the location and the view are everything—or almost—such as Sud Lisboa Terrazza. Facing the Tagus, right next to MAAT, the venue has several areas. Upstairs there’s an infinity pool and a pool bar; downstairs is the restaurant with two distinct ambiences, plus a terrace and a kiosk at street level. The menu is extensive, with options from sea and land, and there’s room for pastas and risottos too.
Sun–Thu 12:00 PM–1:00 AM; Fri–Sat 12:00 PM–2:00 AM.

Desarma
It was one of the big surprises at the 2023 Michelin Gala. Born in Câmara de Lobos, Octávio Freitas couldn’t be more connected to the island where he has always lived and never wanted to leave. And that’s exactly what he serves at the table: the products, the aromas, and the history of Madeira. All of this happens at the top of the hotel The Views Baía, with an incredible view of Funchal and the sea. The wine cellar is also one of the highlights.
Wed-Sat 7:00 PM-9:00 PM.

Sabores de Monsaraz
The view of the Alqueva reservoir, the largest artificial lake in Europe, is breathtaking. But there’s more to it than that. Located in the medieval village, it focuses on Alentejan recipes with hearty, home-style food (and generous portions). It’s usually busy, so it’s best to book.
Tue 7:30 PM-10:30 PM / Wed-Sun 12:30 PM-3:30 PM, 7:30 PM-10:30 PM.
