Ofício – Tasco Atípico
The story of Ofício has been atypical: it began as a meat restaurant and is now a gastronomic spot led by Hugo Candeias. In the kitchen, borders blur—a reflection of the many years the chef spent abroad—yielding creative cooking and dishes that rotate frequently. To finish, the Basque tart is a must, now a standalone business of its own.
Mon–Sun 5:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Ferrugem
Renato Cunha is a talented and fearless chef. In the village of Portela, just a few kilometers from the center of Famalicão, he decided to open an author’s restaurant with bold and creative cuisine. It’s high cuisine, combining ancestral and contemporary techniques, all with a Minho flavor.

Louro
Far from the major media centers, Louro has managed to stand out for its solid and consistent work around the seasons, blending tradition and innovation. The restaurant is beautiful, minimalist, and sober, much like the dishes on the tasting menu, which focus on the product.

O Camelo
It’s a classic, an old restaurant that has stood the test of time thanks to its quality gastronomic offerings (and consistency). Alongside traditional dishes like kid goat, codfish, or rojões, there’s also an extensive selection of seafood. It has four dining rooms.

Tasquinha da Linda
Tasquinha da Linda is a beautiful and refined restaurant. Located in an old fishing warehouse right in the port of Viana do Castelo, the fish and seafood served at the table couldn’t be fresher. The extensive wine cellar, with over 300 references, is also a highlight.
Mon-Sat 12:15 PM-3:00 PM, 7:15 PM-10:30 PM.

Norma
A beautiful and elegant restaurant that goes beyond the norm and aims to surprise every season. Norma is the work of a new generation of chefs, trained in fine dining restaurants but not wanting to be confined to that world. With their training, they challenge themselves creatively. They focus on the product and the producers, extracting the best without falling into the obvious.

Lamelas
With training and a career in fine dining, chef Ana Moura swapped Lisbon for Porto Côvo and, at Lamelas, gives Alentejan gastronomy a new look, showcasing small local producers. With technique and knowledge, the chef respects tradition while adding creativity. And there’s also the view of Porto Covo Bay.

Poda
The foundation is traditional, though there’s always room for some interpretation. The most important thing is the product, almost always sourced from small local producers – even the wines. In 2024, Poda received the Bib Gourmand for its excellent quality-to-price ratio.
Wed-Sun 12:30 PM-3:00 PM, 7:30 PM-10:00 PM.

Fago

With a contemporary approach to Portuguese gastronomy, the menu is short and changes according to the seasonality of ingredients, without rush or pressure. The wine list is extensive and includes some gems.
