Go Juu

Next to the Gulbenkian, Go Juu is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Lisbon, adhering to all the principles of traditional Japanese cuisine, with always fresh ingredients and a technique as refined as it is delicate. The lunch and dinner experiences can be quite different (in the evening, omakase menus are available).

Gambrinus

The door, tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, is easy to miss, but a visit is a must. With wooden tones, the ambiance couldn’t be more discreet. Everything is done the old-fashioned way, whether at the counter or the restaurant tables. The partridge pie keeps customers coming back, and the croquettes are arguably the best in Lisbon.

Feitoria

The classic dining room, with views of the Tagus River in the distance, contrasts with the bold menu crafted by André Cruz, the chef who has been making waves since taking the helm at Feitoria in 2022. What arrives at the table, sourced largely from small producers, is as beautiful as it is delicious. The service is captivating.

Essencial

In a small, bright dining room on the street that cuts through Bairro Alto from end to end, chef André Lança Cordeiro combines predominantly Portuguese ingredients with French techniques, inspired by his years in France. While you can order à la carte, the recommendation is to go for one of the tasting menus. The wine list is equally unconventional.

Encanto

It was at Belcanto that José Avillez realized the potential to open a restaurant like Encanto, when the dish featuring carrots in different textures began to stand out among meat, fish, and seafood dishes. The Michelin star came just nine months after its opening, making it the first vegetarian restaurant in the Iberian Peninsula to achieve this feat. There are no à la carte options, only a tasting menu.

Dom Feijão

Off the tourist circuit, few restaurants in Lisbon are as dedicated to traditional Portuguese cuisine with such consistency and quality. This is the perfect place to discover some of the classic dishes of our gastronomy: polvo à lagareiro (octopus with olive oil and garlic), cozido à portuguesa (Portuguese stew), massada de peixe (fish pasta)…

Praia no Parque

Praia no Parque, located in Parque Eduardo VII, offers two distinct experiences. During the day, the atmosphere is calm, with the spotlight on the Japanese bar led by chef Paulo Alves, who focuses on an omakase menu. At night, as the evening progresses, the restaurant transforms into a lively nightclub.

Cura

It’s inside the Ritz but has its own street entrance. It holds one Michelin star—refined, yet without the hush: the aim is to enjoy the experience without pretension. In the kitchen, Rodolfo Lavrador serves beautiful dishes, rich in technique and, more importantly, full of soul and flavor.

Corrupio

With a striking hand-painted counter taking up much of the restaurant, Corrupio is just as perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and some oysters as it is for a full meal. Rooted in Portuguese culinary traditions, the menu is ideal for sharing, featuring dishes like octopus salad, pig’s ear salad, and crispy pastry turnovers. The lemon fish rice is a must-try

A new generation of chefs is redefining the concept of taverns. In the kitchen, they bring extensive expertise, and in the dining room, they exude attitude and a great vibe. At Copo Largo, Portuguese cuisine gets bold twists, which is why the menu is constantly changing. The dishes are made to share.
