Õtaka
Nikkei cuisine, rooted in the Japanese influence on Peruvian gastronomy, is well represented in the Azores at Õtaka. The ingredients, as expected, come from the island, with high-quality fish taking center stage. The restaurant is modern, sophisticated, and above all, carefully curated.

Bar da Caloura
On the terrace, you can feel the sea breeze, as it is so close to the water. That alone would be enough to justify a visit, but here, you’ll also find the freshest fish, masterfully prepared. In the right season, you can enjoy limpets and barnacles.
Mon-Sun 12:00-9:30 PM

Alcides
Visiting the Azores and not eating a steak is a big mistake. And in that league, the "Alcides-style steak"—a succulent cut of beef served with plenty of garlic and local pepper—is an institution in Ponta Delgada and reason enough to visit this restaurant. It is one of the oldest on the island.
Mon-Sat 12:00-3:00 PM, 7:00-10:00 PM

Taberna do Canal
The decor is rustic, and the atmosphere is warm and familiar. The black-and-white walls resemble the markings of the many cows scattered across the island. The small terrace is cozy, and the menu features everything you'd expect from a restaurant on Pico Island: grilled limpets, tuna steak, squid stew, house-style octopus, and even a highly praised honey tart.
Mon-Sat 12:00-3:00 PM, 7:00-10:00 PM

Magma
With a spacious terrace, the view of the sea and São Jorge Island is breathtaking. The dining room is modern and sophisticated, with beautiful design touches. The attentive service and contemporary cuisine also make room for some regional dishes.
Mon-Sun 12:30-5:00 PM, 7:00-10:00 PM

Bioma
A Portuguese chef and an Argentine chef bring the best of the island—from sea to mountain—to the table, offering a gastronomic experience focused on local producers and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is idyllic, overlooking the ocean.
