Herdade do Esporão
With one Michelin star and one green star, the restaurant at Herdade do Esporão, led by chef Carlos Teixeira, has a unique setting that translates to the plate. It’s a contemporary, seasonal, and terroir-driven cuisine. Sustainability is at the heart of everything. The wines and olive oils are produced on-site, and the restaurant also sources from its own garden. There’s flavor, color, and texture. A true experience.

Mesa de Lemos
Just 15 km from Viseu, nestled among vineyards in a stunning minimalist building, Mesa de Lemos is helmed by Michelin-starred chef Diogo Rocha. A Ver Tavira
Probably and unfairly the most underrated Michelin-starred restaurant, but what Luís Brito does here is serious business. The chef looks to the region and represents it impeccably on the plate, in an unexpected way. Located in the city's historic center, near the castle, the restaurant features a magnificent balcony with a stunning city view.

Vista
In a street where the noise of bars dominates, this hidden gem awaits. Overlooking Praia da Rocha, the restaurant at Bela Vista Hotel & Spa, with one Michelin star, is a gateway to a refined world. João Oliveira discovered the Algarve and showcases it in every dish on the menu. The service is attentive and flawless, and the dining room is bright and beautiful.

Ocean
With two Michelin stars (and perhaps three in the near future), Ocean is one of the best restaurants in the country. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that begins the moment you walk through its grand doors and catch sight of the ocean from the dining room. Respected and admired by his peers, Hans Neuner is now one of the world's top chefs. The menu is a true journey, without any clichés.
Wed-Sun 19:00-22:00.

Al Sud
Designed from scratch by chef Louis Anjos, it took just six months for Al SUD—located in the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf resort—to earn its first Michelin star. The sea serves as a backdrop to the dining room, overlooking Meia Praia in Lagos. The chef reinterprets traditional Algarve recipes, creating an innovative menu featuring both seafood and mountain ingredients, presented in a ten-course tasting experience.

Euskalduna Studio
Chef Vasco Coelho Santos’ restaurant is proof that Michelin-starred establishments can be fun, relaxed, and free of stiff formalities. Trained in Spain at restaurants like El Bulli and Mugaritz, the chef serves a tasting menu at the counter, blending techniques and flavors that go beyond Portugal.

Fortaleza do Guincho
One of Portugal's longest-standing Michelin-starred restaurants owes its status to its relentless pursuit of culinary excellence. The sea of Guincho provides both the view and the inspiration.
